Who stays here?

The travellers that visit us are looking for peace and quiet away from the city. Our tranquil 5 hectare property is nestled in the lower Kaimai ranges just 5 minutes away from Katikati. We are conveniently 2 minutes away from SH2 for those on a road trip to the Coromandel, Rotorua or Auckland. At certain times of the year we have guests staying with us for the avocado or kiwfruit picking seasons. We also get group bookings of trampers wanting to explore the Kaimai ranges at the top of our road. The guesthouse is up a steep flight of stairs so may not suit those of limited mobility.

What to do here?

Plenty of room to run around on our 5 hectares of avocados and landscaped gardens. Enjoy seasonal greens, fruit and fresh eggs from our garden. Enjoy a stroll around the property and relax under the shade of the tall trees, while enjoying the sounds and sights of the native wildlife. Make use of our book exchange, board games, jigsaw puzzles, DVD’s and pool table while you are with us. You can make your own woodfired pizza using produce from the Friday night Katikati Farmers market. Explore the Kaimai mountain ranges at the top of our road. Take a refreshing swim in one of the unspoiled mountain streams or waterholes. Join the skateboarders at the Katikati Skate Park. Take selfies with the murals in Katikati township. Find something that you didn’t know you needed at the craft and antiques shops . Feed the birds at the Katikati Bird Gardens. Investigate the Haiku Walkway with its largest collection of haiku stones outside Japan. Spot the sculptures and birds in their natural habitat along the Uretara River Bird Walk. Surf at Waihi Beach or Mt Maunganui. Cycle the Hauraki Rail Trail at Karangahake Gorge. Bicycles are available to hire, please request when making your booking. Explore stunning lakes and geothermal landscapes, or gold mining and logging remains in the Bay of Plenty region. Te Waihou Blue Springs, Putaruru Waihi Gold Mine and the Coromandel on your doorstep
