Who visits us?

Kent MOMI attracts two very different kinds of visitor -- specialists in cinema and pre-cinema (who have travelled to us from as far away as Japan) and local, national and international travellers interested in seeing something new. And then coming back, and seeing more and more of it, since our tickets allow unlimited free entry for a year.

What to do here?

Explore the deep history of the cinema, through our innovate History of Shadows in the downstairs gallery. Fine out how Great British Films and Great Poster Art converged, at Ealing Studios, 1938-58. Take a fiendish quiz or a musical challenge. Open the secret drawers. Dress up as a Hollywood glamour Queen or the Artful Dodger (ages 5-9 only, please). Enjoy quality tea, coffe, soft drinks, wine and beer in our licensed cafe area -- or in the sunny walled garden. Pick up unique gifts, cards and second-hand books (an extensive range) in the shop.
