Our Story
Rinjani Dawn Adventures
Rinjani Dawn Adventures is a Lombok’s No.1 trekking and tour operator. Based in the mountain village of Senaru, we specialise in Mount Rinjani expeditions. We also run day-trips and hiking excursions to Lombok’s most beautiful locations. We have received multiple TripAdvisor ‘Certificates of Excellence’ honouring our commitment to outstanding customer service. We believe that Rinjani Dawn Adventures is by far the most professional and eco-conscious company in North Lombok. We are a socially aware organisation, giving back and assisting the community wherever possible. Mt Rinjani is Indonesia’s second-highest volcano. At 12,224ft / 3726m Mount Rinjani represents a significant challenge for most people. However, in our experience, this noteworthy challenge is made achievable with the right support, equipment and team! As Lombok’s leading trekking provider, it brings us great joy to share the beauty of Gunung Rinjani National Park with our guests, and to witness their wonder and tremendous growth when accomplishing a Mount Rinjani expedition. Many of our customers have expressed how life-changing their experience was, leaving with treasured unforgettable memories and newly formed friendships. For those not wishing to climb Rinjani, we offer fantastic day-trips and guided tours to traditional villages, waterfalls and Pergasingan Hill, a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the Sembalun valley. Rinjani Dawn Adventures has experience and expertise organising trips for schools, fundraising challenges, yoga retreats, and groups with special requirements. In 2018 we assisted Kate Siber from National Geographic with the book “100 Hikes of a Lifetime: The World’s Ultimate Scenic Trails“, acting as consultants for the Mt Rinjani section. We continue to work with other journalists, travel bloggers and magazines, offering them an authentic and informed perspective of this wonderful island! Rinjani Dawn Adventures is proud to have a 100% safety record. We have the best guides, who are experienced and professional in every way. We genuinely care about our people, considering them family. We give back to the community through our "Sasal Warriors" program, and are passionate about protecting the environment.
Our Activities
Lasa, our head guide, was born in the traditional village of Senaru, and has spent 20 years guiding on the mountain. Our other guides, Hero, Adi and Josi are likewise experienced and all speak excellent English. Our General Manager, Aef, handles all enquiries and logistics, and his beautiful wife Nur manages the office.
