We have three eco-systems: the Altiplano high mountain desert, the sub-tropical Cloud Forest (eg Calilegua), and the canyons and valleys of the Quebradas of Humahuaca, Cafayate and Lerma. This is also an excellent area for hiking, horseriding, mountain biking and rafting.

Our Story
Poncho Tours
Poncho Tours is a husband and wife team run by Alicia (a Salta native) and Nick (a Brit who fell in love with this part of the world): we offer a personalised service from start to finish. Your holiday will start when we meet you at the airport and drop you off at one of our carefully selected boutique hotels, estancias or bed and breakfasts in the pretty colonial city of Salta. From there, at your own pace, and with a dedicated English speaking driver/guide, we’ll take you on a private tour to explore the area. Our guide has an intimate knowledge of the scenery, people and places of interest: and by the end of the trip so will you. We guarantee to take you places the tour buses don’t go! You’ll find all our trips have one thing in common: they avoid busloads of tourists in favour of small personalised excursions which bring you into contact with the locals and won’t cost the earth.
