Our Story
Mauly Tours was founded in 1983 by Salim and Shariffa Mauly, who were born in western Tanzania. Salim and Shariffa came to Moshi to establish their home and their family. They worked hard to deliver professional, friendly and innovative service through Mauly Tours. In 1985, Salim passed away, after which Shariffa single-handedly took the reins of the company. While raising her four daughters, Shariffa also travelled around the globe to promote the business. Under her capable leadership, the company grew to become one of northern Tanzania’s most respected operators. Now, with her daughters on her side, they are working together cohesively as a team to ensure the continuation of the Mauly family legacy. Mauly Tours prides itself on being a 100% Tanzanian, family owned, family run, company that has been helping visitors enjoy Tanzania for over thirty-five years. We are committed to providing high quality, efficient service to all our guests, and we invest our time and resources to that end. In addition to our Moshi main office, we have a branch office in Arusha. The company also takes its corporate social responsibility very seriously. The company feels honoured to be able to give back to the community and minimise the environmental impact that is often an unwelcome side effect of tourism.
Our specialists are known for their dedication, knowledge and excellent customer service. Most of them view Tanzania as ‘home’ and are proud of their heritage.
