Bamboo Sak Yant

Sak = Tapping (traditional tattoos made by tapping) Yant = Yantra (sacred geometry) At Bamboo Sak Yant we share with the world the ancient art of Cambodian sacred tattoos. Sak Yant has been a part of our cultural heritage since before the time of Angkor Wat. This tradition is passed down in a lineage from teacher to student and requires many years of study, practice and meditation to learn. The designs (Yants) we use are a combination of sacred geometry, numerology, ancient Khmer script, kata (mantra and prayers), spells, animal spirit designs, and sacred images from Buddhism and Hinduism. We make Yants to help people in many aspects of their lives including protection, healing, attracting good things or people, metta (compassion), prosperity, power, and spiritual strength. There are Yants for almost every purpose, from bringing more love, compassion and success into your life, to helping protect you from harm. You can choose whether to get your tattoo with a traditional bamboo stick, or with a modern machine. Our tattoos are always done with professional tattoo hygiene standards. Every tattoo is blessed by rituals and kata (mantras and prayers) as it is made, as well as being empowered by the intention of the recipient. Afterwards your Sak Yant can also be blessed by a Khmer Buddhist monk.
