Our Story

Fisherman's Restaurant & Bar

Fisherman”s Restaurant and Bar was founded in 2007 by Khun Lek son of a local fisherman. Lek built the restaurant on an idyllic beach front using natural materials and converted his families long tail fishing boats into seating. The restaurant is ideally situated next to Ban Tai pier ensuring Lek gets fresh and local fish and seafood daily whilst supporting his local community were he grew up. The first dish on the restaurant”s menu was Lek’s mothers recipe for yellow curry crab now listed as the ‘House Special’ and due to its popularity crabs are kept live in tanks outside the restaurant ensuring every dish is cooked fresh to order. Growing up Lek helped his father crab fishing so crab dishes are an important part of the menu. At Fisherman’s it’s all about local ingredients and Thai family traditions presented with a modern touch.
