Who stays here?
Most of our visitors are people who love beach life and the quiet, restoring benefits of natural beauty that the Indian Ocean and the Breede River give us - in abundance - here in Witsand - which is at the start of the well known Garden route of the Western Cape. Witsand attracts both National and international guests.
What to do here?
Traditionally, it has been a popular fishing /beach holiday. However, more recently it has become a fabulous kite surfing destination - due to the calm waters in the lagoon at the mouth of the river/ocean. Whale watching in the winter months (June-September) is also popular.
