Begnas Lake Resort

NEPAL Pokhara Begnas Lake

Who stays here?

All travellers are welcome at Begnas. The Resort is perfect for lovers of unadulterated nature, hiking, Yoga and those seeking to relax and rest. We also cater for seminars and meetings for organisations.

What to do here?

The resort is located at the very end of the "Royal Trek" trail, so named after Prince Charles' first hike in the area. There are plenty of wonderful village walks or more challenging hikes that you could set off for on your won or be escorted by a guide from the resort. A lot of our clients also like wild swimming in the spring-fed Begnas Lake after their walks. Mountain bikes and off-road motorbikes are also available for hire at the resort for the more adventurous and those looking for an adrenaline rush! The swimming pool is spring-fed and completely chemical-free. Use the Spa facilities, herbal-oil massages, Ayurvedic Treatments and practice Yoga by the lake to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul. The resort can also help organise activities such as paragliding, hot-air ballooning as well as micro-light flights. The resort also caters for seminars and meetings with a Seminar Hall which can comfortably accommodate 60 people and is ideal for workshops and small conferences.

Paradise! Tucked away amidst lush forest, by the Begnas Lake - known for its clear, spring-fed waters and breathtaking views of the Himalayas... The Begnas Lake Resort spans a whole hillside of unspoilt forestland and is surrounded by pristine nature. All 28 Deluxe rooms, 4 waterfront cottages, 4 premiere rooms and 2 Luxury suites are built close to the water's edge with views of the magnificent countryside and the mighty snow-clad Himalayan peaks. All rooms are in spacious stone chalets built in the ethnic Gurung style of stone houses. Guest rooms are temperature-controlled and tastefully appointed using natural, local materials like bamboo, teak, clay and slate. All bathrooms are attached, large and comfortable. Flooring and walls are done in rough stone and slate with running hot and cold water. The resort also boasts a fantastic multi-cuisine restaurant - 'Jimire' which has a large sun-terrace for those who wish to dine in the open. 'The Kodo Bar' is well stocked with spirits from around the world and another bar, 'Saili-Maili' serves snacks and a selection of beers and cocktails by the pool-side. The resort kitchen also grows its own supply of seasonal, organic fruit and vegetables. The Begnas Lake area is also well renowned for its abundance of freshwater fish.
