Who stays here?
Our guests come from all over the world and stay either in our economy rooms, where they share common areas with others, such as bathrooms and kitchen, dining room and living room. Or they stay in our modern rooms which come with a private bathroom and a nice veranda. Last but not least we do have an amazing camp site
What to do here?
We are an ideal spot to visit the highland wonders; Askja, Kverkfjöll, Herðubreið, Mývatn and Stuðlagil which can all be done as a day tour from us. If you are looking for an easy day hiking you can enjoy some of our trails close to our farm. We do offer daytours to Askja and Kverkfjöll in the summer.

Our Story
Fjalladyrd
The founders - Villi and Elísabet - decided to make their living in the countryside come true by offering visitors a chance to stay and experience the local products. Villi was born on the farm and Elísabet, a true mountain maiden shared his dreams of staying close to the roots and nature. Some 15 years later they are still happy to receive visitors and their older daughter has started helping out, both in the sheep pens and the restaurant. We put great emphasis on giving our guests the best experience while staying close to our traditions and honoring mother nature.
