Our Story
Villa Maya
Villa Maya is a private natural reserve located in the center of the island. It was initiated as a conservation project in 1992; focusing on the natural beauty of the island. Overnights in the jungle, bird watching, hiking, canoeing and biking tours are available. Also SCUBA Diving, Lear to SCUBA dive The expeditions allow for a wide range of participants, especially those with a passion for outdoors activities. Reasonably good physical condition and an interest in learning about the tropical environments is important. All expeditions are planned for a low environmental impact; restoration activities are encouraged. When we visit all natural environments on the island we leave the sites better than when we found them.

Villa Maya provides services and facilities for eco – tourism travelers, renting hammocks in a Mayan hut or cabañas. It also encourage wild life management and environmental education programs to increase the ecological culture of locals and visitors.
