One of the ex-libris symbols of the city of Porto in terms of gastronomy, the 'francesinha', recently considered by the AOL Travel website and the Short List magazine as one of the 10 Best Sandwiches in the World, has such a strong presence in the city that it has always seemed strange. never having created a brand that did it justice. Lado B Café decided to fill that gap and registered the brand “A Melhor Francesinha do Mundo”. More than the brand of a company or a particular space, it is intended to be the brand of an entire culture, umbilically linked to the city of Porto but open to the rest of the world. This claim is assumed with responsibility and conviction, above any mere strategy of mercantile affirmation. Indifferent to the propagated myths and the subjective evaluations that swarm in the city, Lado B worked hard for two years with the aim of ensuring a high quality product, improving the recipe until reaching a level as close as possible to of excellence. Long tests and various experiments were carried out, always with the participation and attentive observation of customers, various professionals in the restaurant area and even some specialist press. This work was accentuated with a meticulous choice of ingredients and painstaking care in the preparation of the dish. In the end, we were left with the proven guarantee of being able to present a product that is never inferior to the best available in the city of Porto, with the right foundation and sufficient substance to justify the registration of the brand “A Melhor Francesinha do Mundo”.
