Osteria Romana di Simmi

The Osteria Romana follows the great tradition of the Simmi family in catering, a love for good Roman cuisine spanning two centuries and three generations. From Ceseretto Simmi, a fine connoisseur of authentic recipes and traditions of Rome, we have learned that in Rome every gastronomic experience is an all-round experience in the art and culture of this ancient city. Founder of historic and internationally renowned venues such as La Cisterna in Trastevere that from the 20s of the twentieth century until the 2000s with its authentic flavor dishes and the famous wishing well of the papal Rome below street level has been a fixture of the most important personalities from art to politics. Among the murals of Pinelli and the poems of Trilussa, dear friend and regular guest of the Cisterna, Ceseretto and his sons have welcomed personalities like Walt Disney and the King Ranieri of Monaco. The Villa dei Cesari on the Ardeatina is also unforgettable, which has inspired and hosted the Dolce Vita of Rome with a large banquet hall immersed in a fantastic garden.
