All travelers are welcome. The common travelers are the ones who want to visit view wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park and the local culture of the Rwenzori mountains region.
We offer a long list of community activities that you can do without paying park entrance fees, but we also provide support or information on doing the wildlife safari, Kazinga channel boat cruise, lion tracking, chimp tracking, looking for tree climbing lions in Ishasha and other park/ wildlife activities in and around Queen Elizabeth national park.
Our Story
The Elephant home is located opposite Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kikorongo village, 20km from Kasese town. It is a few kilomenters from the park gate making it easy to drive for your game drive in the morning. We offer accommodation and meals for guest who want to stay close to the park the night before and after the wildlife safari activities. During the stay, you also have an opportunity to be participating in local cultural activities off the beaten track, at a relatively low price. We offer clean en-suite rooms, delicious meals, a curio shop and plenty of hospitality in a unique way offered by the local residents as they share their story of living near the National Park.
Local community youth prepared and willing to provide the best hospitality to all guests in their village. They are experts of this location and are willing to show you everything.
