Our Story
In the heart of the seafront of Sant Salvador (El Vendrell), the restaurant La Cuina de la Marga overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, from its rooms decorated by the chef himself, Àlex Hellín, and also from the stove, to offer a very seafood menu based on rice and fish. A little of our history: It was his mother, Margarita, who opened the business more than two decades ago in Sant Salvador (El Vendrell), just a few meters from the beach. Evolution had to come and, therefore, Àlex Hellín took over the reins of the restaurant in 2007. As a tribute to his mother, he decided to change the name of the place and put the current one: La Cuina de la Marga. He, who had been fond of preparing rice in his home fireplace from a very young age, was clear that what was needed was to promote traditional seafood cuisine, fish and seafood.
