Third Ground Coffee House

Nestled in the countryside, at the foothills of the Sarina Range, only kilo- meters from the beach, Sarina is a township that holds a wonderful country coastal balance, built upon the sugar, coal and cattle industries. It is central to many hard-working families and a place we are proud to call home. Only meters from the Bruce, up what was once the old highway, the big, old heritage building opposite the long retired Grand Central Station Pub became home to Third Ground Coffee House in July of 2O15. With sheer determination and an abundance of hope in our hearts, a team of diverse yet unified people set out to see our community enriched with a new beautiful space to connect, learn, and grow. Through many seasons, the team has worked tirelessly to nurture the growth of Third Ground and its continued service to our wider community. Our mission is simple. It is to connect people with each other, and great food. People are our priority and where there are people there must be food. Which is why we hope to develop a thoughtful relationship between the two. Sourcing nourishing, fresh, and sustainable food and coffee is so important to us. We have seen the good fruits that come from supporting our region's sustainability and truly appreciating where our food comes from. Like a seed, planted with hope, we have grown to be a place that many now call their “Third Ground”. While most of us have two spaces we spend our time, being either home or work. We hope to be a warm, heartfelt, welcoming, and thought provoking place that could be your “Third” place/ground. A place that celebrates togetherness. A place that elevates family, health and some of the valued aspects of life we have lost in our fast paced demanding lives. While your first impression of Third Ground may be the coffee house, there is much more to be part of here. We have trade days for local growers and those interested to learn, share their knowledge and trade their produce, meetups covering educational content, community events, social gatherings, markets, kids fun days, and so much more. We exist to connect. Serving one another is what we do. We honour and acknowledge the hands and hearts that have generously founded and nurtured the growth of Third Ground. We truly value our staff, they are our team, and they are an unbelievably dedicated and passionate team. Our team, prioritises you because you are the reason we are here. When you step into Third Ground, we want you to feel cared for. As for our incredible local farmers and suppliers we wouldn’t be able to serve the delicious food and coffee if not for them. It is their fresh produce that allows us to deliver such a wholesome experience to you. We believe in supporting local, bringing attention to the paddock to plate journey and supporting our regions sustainability. Everything we do is about connection. We are proud of and love what we do, and who we do it for.
