The area belonged to Austria until WW1 and now we are proud to have an exceptional high culinary quality in all hotels, restaurants and mountain huts. You will find a unique merge between an Alpine and Italian taste, as well in architechture as in the cuisine.
Getting around town
Our towns are quite small so getting around is really easy by foot. If your hotel is a bit outside the center, we will be happy to take you with our luxury van (www.vicotravel.it) or if you prefer, there is a very reliable public bus service.

What to do while you're here
The Italian Dolomites are unique in their conformation and a must see for all mountain lovers and all those that love stunning landscapes with green fields, vertical rock conformations and blue skies. The Dolomites offer stunning hikes, climbing routes, easy walks for families but even the best switch backs on the gorgeous montain passes of the Giro d'Italia and the famous "Maratona dles Dolomites" for all road bike lovers. For mountain bikers, Alta Badia offers breathtaking downhill trails. In the winter, the Italian Dolomites offer the biggest ski area in Europe which means with one only ski pass you will be able to ski from one to other 3 different valleys plus the area around Cortina d'Ampezzo.
