Getting here

Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp is off the main road between Narok town and Maasai Mara Sekenani gate (Google Maps -1.3423124, 35.7084323,17) You will see our location in Google Maps when typing Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp, but the GPS is not always accurate out here. Landmarks along the way…. · After leaving Narok, stay to the left to follow Narok-Sekenani Gate road (C12) for about 45 minutes until you see "Loita Plains Hotel" on the right, which is now a Chinese road works headquarters. · A few kilometers past "Loita Plains Hotel" on the left you will see a large tree, and our signage for Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp) where you will turn left onto a dirt road · Drive 8 kilometers on the dirt road through a bend to the left where you will also find another sign with our camp name. DO NOT TURN INTO THE RED GATE on the right · Just after the bend, turn right into our camp road, where you will see another camp sign to welcome you.

Activities

What to do while you're here

Walks in the hills with Maasai warriors to learn about traditional life, warrior training, widow village visit for a look at local traditional life with bead making and manyatta homes, campfire with the Maasai warriors, visit to the hot spring. Trekking, cycling or motorbiking through the Loita Hills and Plains, camping on the land of local people (not commercial facilities). Also, visit community projects such as our school, conservation projects for recycling, and tree nursery. We also offer spiritual blessings, called Emayan. Photography is welcomed, with opportunities for authentic photos of Maasai people, culture, and surrounding nature.
