Meet the Team
Kathryn Hedgepath
Creator and Narrator, Myrtle Beach History Tours
I created my first tour in 2017, the military history trolley tour. It did so well that I created two more in 2019. Then added the fourth in 2020 when we sold out once a week until March. Now I run them Tue. - Thr. from 10 AM to 12 PM, and one Friday a month , 2- 4 PM, from Sep. to Mar. I pour my heart into every one of these tours and am thrilled to share the stories of my hometown with my guests.
Activities
Climb aboard a climate-controlled trolley and discover Myrtle Beach's history through four different tours held Tuesday through Thursday and on select Fridays. The tours' creator is a local who is passionate about the history of her hometown. She'll tell you of its origin story, coming of age, military history, WWII U-boat threats off the coast and the arrival of German POWs, movies made there, its impact on music history, tales of local ghosts and pirates, and stories of families who helped shape our nation's history. Stops are made at some of the most historic sites in the region.
