The founder and owner of Advanced Approaches to Massage has almost 30 years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and is well-known locally for helping people from all walks of life heal their pain and discomfort. Educated locally at Toronto’s Kikkawa Collage and Sutherland-Chan School, both leading North American institutions in massage therapy education, Susierra has a decorated career. She has spent time in Thailand, Bali and other countries learning the art, processes and techniques of massage therapy. Notables in the movie world in Los Angeles and here in Toronto through the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), turn to Susierra in order to heal their pain and discomfort. As well, she has helped literally thousands of people locally in The Beaches and across Toronto – athletes, teens, kids, adults and seniors. Her one-of-a-kind registered massage therapy clinic is the talk of The Beaches. She treats each client with the care she would like to receive when being massaged. Her creation, Advanced Approaches to Massage, won the top award as the best Registered Therapy Clinic by “Now” Magazine and TripAdvisor is frequently mentioned in the Beach Metro News, Local Magazine and the Bluff’s Monitor. Susierra is experienced, dedicated and committed. And so is her team of professional staff. She is presently a member of the local Beaches community and gives her free time to help out in the Kingston Road Village Business Community (KRVBC) association. She is also been active in her profession: Served as an Examiner and Educator with the Ontario College of Massage Therapists Member of The Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario Serves as a Massage Therapy Clinic Teacher and Massage Techniques Specialist. Nick Boulton

Nick Boulton, the renowned in the 6ix Sutherland-Chan, graduated from Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy in 1991. He specializes in deep tissue massage which helps free up myofascial adhesions and restrictions, allowing greater ease and flexibility. Nick’s primary focus has been therapeutic massage with the intention of helping to restore full pain-free function in the case of injury, or expanding on function and flexibility in the case of postural and functional restrictions. He believes that our bodies are like bonsai trees; over time they change shape to reflect the influence of habitual forces (like gravity) and usage patterns that our bodies contend with. These changes can be beneficial or adverse. In pursuit of this, he has studied NISA (Neuromuscular Integration and Structural Alignment) and muscle energy techniques. He also has experience in craniosacral massage.
