What to do while you're here

Doho Lodge & Hot springs is a place where one can experience different activities in and out of the lodge. Wild animals like Lions Hippos, Water bucks, Lesser kudu, Jackals, and Warthogs are among the larger mammals seen around the Lodge but also the Lodge is neighbored by Awash National Park and Allideghe Wildlife Reserve. Game driving and bird watching is super in these areas than any sites in the country. The Hallaydeghe plain is home to Ethiopia's largest isolated population of Grevy's zebra, as well as herds of Beisa oryx, Soemmerring's gazelle, and Gerenuk. In most of the area, you can see Lesser kudus, Salt's dik-dik, Abyssinian hare, Warthog, and Anubis baboon. Carnivores such as Black-backed jackal, Bat-eared fox, Leopard, Stripped hyena, Common jackal, and Spotted hyena, as well as by a very rare chance, Cheetah and Lion, can be seen in the Park's broad plains. Afar community village visit is also one of the exciting things you can do on your stay. Bush Breakfast, Trekking around the lodge and also trekking to Mountain Fentale (a dormant volcanic mountain) is anther unforgettable experience we provide. Above all, enjoying in the natural hot springs of showering, bathing and swimming is breathtaking.
