Need to know
BY ROAD There are two exits near the house from the AP8 motorway which goes from Bilbao to San Sebastián, at either Abadiño Elorrio if you are coming from San Sebastián, or Durango if you are coming from Bilbao. It takes about 30 minutes on the motorway from Bilbao, and around 50 minutes from San Sebastián. You can also come along the pretty coastal road from San Sebastián (N634) until Zumaia, and then take the motorway inland. If you are coming from Vitoria or anywhere south or east of there, (Madrid, Barcelona) you will need to take the N240 towards Durango and go over the Urkiola pass, then down to Durango where we are 2.5 kms outside town, near the village centre of Abadiño. (1 km from house). BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT Buses: From Bilbao airport: Take airport bus to the Termibus bus station, and then catch the A3923 to Elorrio, which leaves on the hour until 21.00 (22.00 on Saturday). Get off at Abadiño Zelaieta, 6 stops after Durango centre and 10 mins' walk from house. Bus takes about 40 mins. There is a display panel on the bus to show names of stops, and we can meet you at the bus stop the first time. You can also get buses to Durango, leaving more frequently, and catch a taxi or walk 20/30 mins along a country road to house. BY TRAIN We are on the Euskotren Bilbao - San Sebastián line, with around two services an hour depending on the time of day. The train takes about 40 minutes from Bilbao, and 1h 50 minutes from San Sebastián. Nearest station is Traña Abadiño, (about 20 mins' walk to the house) or else Durango (about 30 mins' walk from this station to the house). We can meet you the first time, or you can catch a bus to taxi from Durango. Taxis: there is a taxi rank by the train station in Durango. It is 3 kms to the house, and costs about 8,00. We have numbers for local taxi drivers who will come to the house to collect you and take you back for evenings out etc.

Eguzki B&B is a family business run by Sally and Rober, an English / Basque couple who will make every effort to make you feel at home. We speak English, Spanish, Basque and some French between us, and enjoy cooking and socialising, walking and enjoying the nearby countryside. We aim to create a warm, homely atmosphere and to help our guests make the most of this lovely area, providing local advice on things to do, places to see and where to eat and have fun. 'Kilometro 0' We use fresh produce from the kitchen garden, neighbouring allotments and nearby farms to prepare breakfasts, picnics and evening meals. We encourage our guests to sample the many great restaurants and bars in the area, and to help the local economy with your custom.
