Getting here
Situated on the Lyngen Peninsula, we are a relatively short drive from the city of Tromsø. Approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes by car. Our Cabin is located near Lyngen Resort, under the majestic Lyngen Alps in Northern Norway. The nearest airport is Langnes Airport , Tromsø. From Tromsø you can drive either: – via Nordkjosbotn ( E8 – then E6 ) and turn off from Oteren towards Lyngseidet (868), or – via Breivikeidet ( Turn off at Fagernes – route no. 91 ) by ferry across the Ullsfjord Both roads are signposted towards Lyngseidet . When you get to Lyngseidet, follow the road towards Koppangen (approx. 10 km). Lyngen Resort is located on the right side of the road . Distances to AuroraSpirit : • From Tromso via Breivikeidet : 75 km (1 hr 45 min) • From Nordkjosbotn via Oteren 70 km (1 hr 15 min) • From the municipal centre Lyngseidet : 10 km (10 min) • From Alta via Olderdalen 220 km (4 hr 10 min)

We are Sarah and Jem, originally from Cornwall in the UK, but now living in the Arctic Circle. When we both witnessed a magnificent solar storm in November 2011 we were both awe inspired and knew we had to spend every spare moment chasing the Northern Lights. We finally moved to Norway in 2018 and our Aurora Adventure began… At Aurora Adventure we have built on our experience of searching for the Northern Lights and can now share this with you. We have a number of cabins all with panoramic views of the fjord and mountains. Our cabins provide an excellent base for your Aurora Adventure and we can also provide workshops, packages and activities with local partners.

At Aurora Adventure we have built on our experience of researching exciting “bucket list” activities and can now share this with you. We have a number of carefully chosen activities all based here in Lyngen and close to our cabins. All of our accommodation provide an excellent base for your Aurora Adventure & most of activities come with or without transfers so you can choose the best option to meet your needs.
