We are in the perfect location to explore rural Perthshire and the Cairngorm national park. Kirkmichael is set at a crossroads of historical trails and the Lodge is just across the river where the Jacobites gathered for the 1715 rising against the red coats. The Lodge has a licensed Honesty bar, gym and a list of extra facilities to make your stay more enjoyable. The Lodge also doubles as a residential cake school where well know cake artist Paul Bradford your host.

Our Story
Strathardle Lodge
Paul has always had a desire to open a residential cake school. At the start of the Covid lockdown David & Paul lived in Spain where they were able to easily run CakeFlix. However, the pandemic made it increasingly clear that Paul needed to be teaching face to face and a desire for a more front of house role. Together they started searching what was available and as soon as they set eyes on Strathardle Lodge, they knew that was the perfect place. Running Strathardle Lodge as a Guest House and Cake School has become a dream come true for the pair, but like everything worthwhile there has been a lot to learn. However, their passion and commitment to ensuring that guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay is their driving goal. Why not come and see for yourself what they have created and they look forward to rolling out the welcome mat.
Starthardle Lodge is owned by Paul Bradford & David Brice. Paul is an accomplished and well known cake artist. They are assisted by Beryl who makes the breakfast and helps with the rooms.
