Our Story

Douglas Bakery

Following an offer from The Douglas & Angus Estates that they really couldn't refuse, husband & wife team Jamie & Erica relocated from the old Post Office building to 1 Colliers Court; Douglas Bakery & Coffee Rooms has found it's natural home & their feet have hardly touched the ground since. After nearly three years spent building a reputation for great quality food, friendly service, cleanliness & value for money they have recently taken on extra staff and yet still manage to maintain their simple basic principles; great food cooked right there in front of you. Go and watch the action in their open kitchen from bread being shaped and baked to handmade pies being filled to muffins being dressed and flips being filled. Being nominated for and then making the finals of The Scottish Rural Awards 2020 and national press coverage for their Treacle Scones are recent highlights and their 5 Star Reviews on Trip Advisor and Google My Business are proof enough that this couple are taking Douglas Bakery in the right direction. Just 2 miles off the M74 at Junction 12 and with FREE parking, wi-fi, indoor and outdoor seating, clean toilets and with a family run petrol station, family run dispensing chemist and (you guessed it) a family run convenience store all within 50yds of Douglas Bakery there really is now need to go anywhere else.
