Our Story
The Saltara farmhouse dates back to the 1800’s and has always been owned by our family. You can find us in the Santa Teresa Gallura, surrounded by green spaces on a small valley set by granite. In Saltara we mainly breed Sardinian rustic cattle, which adapt perfectly to our habitat. In periods of great drought they eat the Mediterranean endemic stain. Their “lifestyle” allows us to have a particularly tasty final product, “made in Gallura”. The salty pastures from the mistral give an added taste to the meat. We produce our vegetables using ancient methods, rather than the use of modern techniques. The lack of water forces us to be thrifty with all that our land can produce.
