Our Story

On arrival at the Boma, guests invited to get dressed in a chitenge (traditional sarong) and are then welcomed into the lively atmosphere of the restaurant's main enclosure, which is partially open to the star-filled African sky. Once seated, guests take part in a hand washing ceremony and taste the local brew, before starting on their four-course feast with soup from the campfire, followed by the main braai (barbecue) buffet, which includes a selection of game meats and stews. The adventurous may try a mopane worm, a local delicacy, for which they will receive a certificate as proof of their adventurous spirit! Vegetarian options include a vegetable stir fry, a local peanut butter spinach and an extensive salad bar. Halaal diners are also catered for. Decadent desserts from the buffet round off the feast. A wide selection of drinks is also available. The highlight of the evening is a thrilling interactive drumming show which begins after dinner. In addition to dancers and story tellers, there is also a fortune teller, acapella singers and souvenir sellers.
