Our Story
What started to be one of the first pop ups in the Bay Area underground food seen fifteen years ago, it quickly turned into a real restaurant ten years ago. We opened a restaurant in a neighborhood where a sustainably healthy and affordable food was very scarce. We brought an African diaspora food that blends the past to the present without the high price and the pretense. We’re a community driven restaurant where we do community cooking classes, other events and encouraging any local aspiring chefs to use our place for stepping platform to flourish into their next adventure.

African diaspora food, food based on East, north and touching other parts of Africa. Although we use techniques and some traditions of our ancestors, the food is really locally driven and we put lots of inputs on seasonality , balance and nutrition
