Couples, Families, groups of friends, individual travellers.
The Gorges de l'Ardeche are probably the main reason people come to the area. A two-day guided river trip is most definitely the best way to do it. There are also many other activities available in the region from canyoning and via-ferrata to cycling or visiting the Chauvet cave exhibition with its 32,000 yr old cave paintings!
Our Story
Since setting up in 2008, Experience Ardeche has established itself as an independent activities holiday company specialising in English speaking canoe and kayak trips on the Ardeche river in France. We’ve organised activity holidays for families, schools, scout groups and British armed forces as well as team building events for a range of private sector companies. We now offer a range of holiday packages and accommodation types to suit all levels, abilities and requirements (see our website for all options available). What’s more, Experience Ardeche has always been committed to Responsible Tourism and to ensuring that the holidays and trips we offer are sustainable, not only contributing to the local economy but also helping to protect the local environment. This last point is especially important to us as our main activity – the two-day guided river trip – takes place right in the heart of the Ardeche nature reserve. We have lived and breathed the gorge for over twenty years and are all very passionate about sharing this knowledge and experience with others. Our aim is to provide personalised and memorable Ardeche holiday experiences that are tailored for you. We want you to come away from the Ardeche loving it as much as we do…if that’s possible!
Most river trips are run by the Founder and Managing Director of Experience Ardeche, Daniel Cummin. Daniel is also a qualified teacher and has experience of working with vulnerable people in an outdoor environment, corporate/management groups, and team building /bonding events. Whatever your age or ability, Danny will make your trip through the Gorge enjoyable and memorable.
