Our Story
Kikau Hut has been established on the island since 1998 with 4 different owners. The restaurant has maintained the highest of standards since its inception and continues to this day. The majority of our staff are local and have been together as a team for the last 10 years. Our head chef Mata has honed his profession through key roles in high class restaurants in New Zealand and Australia and he has a local focus for the food he prepares as he was born and bred in Rarotonga. Our philosophy is to make as much use as we can of the local sea and island produce. The last 2 years has been a tremendous challenge for us but we have emerged stronger from the lock downs to stride forward and provide a first class experience for our visitors.

A pacifica and European style selection of entrees, main and desserts to whet your appetite. We cater for all tastes and adapt our dishes to ensue we have something for everyone - we offer vegetarian choices, meet GF needs and can prepare dishes of choice for specialist dietary needs.
