Individuals, couples, groups of friends and families
We, as Snurk.Travel guides, are ready to divert from the route anytime, simply because a tiny side street seemed attractive to you, or an unusual-looking Cornershop caught your attention. We are happy to wander with you into secret courtyards and get acquainted with the owners of designer shops, to try strange food in charming new dive-bars, and look for the most authentic bars with live music. We can even search for cool graffiti in weird alleyways, or, if we're in the mood, could even go to watch the sunset on the best panoramic platform of the city!
Our Story
This project was born several years ago from a passion for travelling and studying other cultures, from avid night reading and meeting amazing, bright and talented people around the world. And of course, out of love for storytelling :). Having moved to the Netherlands, we plunged into the exploration of this country. Which naturally resulted in creating a blog and tours: initially for friends, then for acquaintances of friends, and finally for barely familiar distant friends of the acquaintances ... Now, there are several dozen of us - guides in the Netherlands and Belgium, Germany and Morocco. We are architects, historians, designers, physicists, journalists, sociologists, physicians, economists, art historians, and even one priest. But character-wise we are all similar to our mascot - Snurk: restless, curious, tireless and, admittedly, a little "naughty" :). Therefore, we spend all our free time sticking our noses into every gateway, searching for interesting stories, looking for bars and restaurants with the most delicious food, getting to know farmers and street artists, linguists and Knights Hospitalers. Furthermore, we study history, statistics, rankings, archives and read really "boring" books so that later, on our tours, we can tell you all about it in a fascinating manner :)
