Our Story
Mar Vista Farm + Cottages
Established in 2020. We acquired Mar Vista in the middle of the Coronavirus Pandemic. While many thought us crazy, we saw the visions of our dreams coming to life. Our predecessors created the exact agriturismo concept we envisioned and after 20 years were ready for retirement. We consider ourselves the caretakers. We are here to preserve and protect, while creating lasting memories for our guests. Our design: Shaker/Swedish inspired cottage interiors, a natural landscape, an absence of night lighting to reveal the night sky, and the introduction of a small farm producing food for our guests. Modest lodging enhances and intensifies the guest experience. Less truly is more. We have large open meadows, ponds, stream, private beach access, and a redwood forest. Goats and hens wonder freely. Many listings struggle to classify Mar Vista Farm + Cottages. We are not a bed and breakfast; but include the features of a farm, lodge, inn, beach resort, hotel, spa and vacation rental home.
