Our Story
The first Rare Steakhouse was opened in Madison, Wisconsin in May 2014 with a goal of recreating the nostalgia and romance of the classic steakhouse- where eating out was meant to be an experience. The second location in Milwaukee, Wisconsin opened in 2016. The Washington D.C. location opened in November 2017.

A great steak is at the foundation of who we are. This begins with the craftsmanship dedicated to our dry-aging program. As an investment in better flavor for our diners, the extensive program offers a variety of cuts such as Wagyu Beef and New Frontier Bison Ribeye.
