Our Story
Pongwe beach has three garden view rooms, thirteen beachfront rooms, and four seaview suites. All rooms are found within white-washed thatch-roofed cottages with mosaic floors and a Zanzibari style decoration. Pongwe’s lounge, restaurant, and bar are all housed in a large timber-and-thatch structure nestling amidst palm trees close to the beach. In the lounge, plenty of comfortable sofas and armchairs surround coffee tables, while the restaurant features chic individual tables and upright chairs. Breakfast lunch and dinner is served featuring a Catch of the Day or tasty grilled meat. Drinks are purchased from the well-stocked bar, which is a great spot for socializing with your fellow travelers! We offer the perfect paradise island experience. So, if the midday sun gets too severe, the welcoming shade of the palm trees along with a sip of a freshly fallen coconut will cool you right down, in what is arguably the best place to park yourself on the best white sandy beach.
