Situated in the main area of our distillery and visitor centre, the Coffee & Gin Bar is an ideal place to relax and watch Kirkwall’s bustling harbour-front. You can join us before or after your tour, or just pop along to speak to our knowledgeable staff about our Kirkjuvagr Orkney Gin and merchandise.

Our Story
The Orkney Distillery
Located on the scenic harbour front of Kirkwall, we are a stone’s throw from the towns’ shuttle service stop. Our Distillery boasts a 5-star Visitor centre - offering daily tours, distillery shop – offering our full range of gin and merchandise to purchase and a Coffee & Gin Bar - an ideal place to relax and watch Kirkwall’s bustling harbour-front or book upon one of our highly commended Distillery Tours with our friendly Guides. For those wishing to stay with us a little longer after their tour, we have our newly created ‘garden concept bar’ named ‘Oot The Back’ that we formed right behind the Distillery in a sheltered courtyard in summer 2020. This offers COVID-safe booth seating, with a QR-Code mobile phone/iPad drinks and snack menu and ordering. Each booth is heated using an overhead infrared heater, and so even in the evenings or on a cooler day, everyone is very comfortable. It has been a huge hit so far, and we hope that this space will offer a really appealing supplement to those wishing to visit us (perhaps after outdoor activities, or visitor sites). We are entirely family (and dog) friendly.
