Our Story

Ayahuasca Foundation

The Ayahuasca Foundation began in 2009 when Carlos Tanner and don Enrique Lopez got together to offer people from around the world the opportunity to experience the Shipibo plant medicine tradition in its native setting of the Amazon Rainforest. Since then, this Peruvian non-profit organization has grown in size and reputation, now operating two centers, one focused on educational courses and the other on healing retreats. They also host important medical research investigating the effects of plant medicine treatment.
