My frequent traveller is someone interested in the history of my city, and its neighborhoods and will be willing to walk - and ask questions about anything that may come into their mind as we discover stories of people, buildings, and events that may or may not be new to them.
One can do virtually anything here in my city! But included among the tours I lead is one tour that takes people across the George Washington Bridge and up the Palisades - and other bridge walks are available too!
Our Story
I have lived in New York City - in Manhattan, the county of New York - for 45 years and I have an intimate knowledge of the city. I encountered the city in a very pedestrian way - by foot, and block by block. Although I haven't walked every street in the city, I have run the New York Marathon six times - and feel that everyone (within reason!) should try it at least once just to experience the thrill of accomplishing something that so extends one's confidence! I( have been a high school English teacher too, as well as a corporate salesman, and have enjoyed meeting and greeting visitors from all over the world into my city. I also can take you out of town - and not only by walking, but also in vehicles to see the glories of both the Hudson River Valley and Long Island. Indeed, I have taken many school groups to Boston, Phildelphia, and, because I am licensed in the District of Columbia as well, to Washington to see the Capitol and the Smithsonian Museums as well as Arlington National Cemetery and Mount Vernon. Want to see Niagara Falls? Been there with groups too! I am open to your questions and am willing to design a special tour, day, or even excursion for you.
I am available to take you and your family or group around this great city - and to tell you stories of its people and history. And - you'll have fun!
