Our Story
Skunkie Acres
Here at Skunkie Acres, we offer Guided and Unguided Horseback Trails on beautiful 40 acres in Citra, Florida. We also have wolves , Lemur , Godzilla the gator and many other animals. And of course the skunks which you can hold and take your picture with. And of course the skunks are not loaded so you don't have to worry about riding on the top of your car on the way home. We have picnic tables and grills if you want to have a cookout, just bring your charcoal. We also have a playground area for the kids to enjoy. Come out and enjoy the day with your family. Skunkie Acres is a 501c3 registered not for profit and we also do Livestock and Exotic rescues, Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation.
Skunkie Acres is run by the Haake family, a family dedicated to helping animals, domestic and wild. Megan, the daughter is the builder, repair specialist, and handles the wolves and the gator plus many of the smaller animals , Myself, Barbara, is the Mom and I also handle the smaller animals , office paperwork, and do any plumbing repairs . My youngest Daughter Samantha helps out with the trail rides and helps around the animals.
