Our Story

Tannico Wine Bar

Tannico Wine Bar was born in July 2020 in Milan as the first flagship store of Tannico, the largest and most accurate Italian wine shop in the world. It is in the heart of the District Design, precisely in via Savona 17, and it is a wine bar with a kitchen characterized by a creative spirit, but at the same time simple and direct, where the raw material is enhanced by the expert hand of its young Chef. The setting, with its oil-colored walls, soft lights, large shelves of wine and music – another protagonist – recalls some London clubs where clubbing and dinner time come together. With a careful selection of over 800 labels chosen by Tannico's Wine Specialists and about 40 references by the glass including whites, reds, bubbles, rosés, natural wines, rare wines, sweet wines and spirits, the Tannico Wine Bar have been awarded from Gambero Rosso's Guide "Ristoranti d'Italia" with "2 bottiglie"2 and also as one of the 10 wine bars with the best selection in Italy, winning the Carta Vini Italia Award organized by Milano Wine Week. The cooking concept of Tannico Wine Bar is based on the never banal flavors and a few carefully chosen ingredients. A "brutalist" cuisine that amazes for the selection of seasonal raw materials enhanced by the right combinations. The eggs for the fresh pasta are from livornesi hens, the fish, as well as many products, varies according to the availability of the day. The space is divided into two rooms: one is bright with white bricks and overlooks a typical old Milan inner courtyard, from which you can glimpse the jasmine plants; the other is oil-colored, in a revisited version of the blue of Tannico that recalls the London atmospheres mixed with plants that climb under the arches and on the shelves. Tannico Wine Bar is a place that finds its maximum expression at nighttime that goes from 18.00 onwards.

Our team

Tannico Wine Bar creative project consists of a set of colors, sounds, lights, wine but also of a very specific idea of cuisine conceived by Tannico and perfectly realized by the young Chef Francesca Lecchi. After working with Chef Eugenio Boer at his first project Enocratia, Francesca was then faithfully alongside Chef Eugenio Roncoroni at “Al Mercato” and at the “Noodle Bar” for 7 years, where she headed the kitchen brigade.

The menu is made up of some signature dishes such as meatballs with tomato coulis, baccalà mantecato (creamed cod) with glasswort and foie gras maison, combining them with off-menu dishes to allow people to share and taste different options such as nettle fresh pasta with seafood and ginger, fried mushrooms and courgette flowers or rhubarb and sage, served with homemade mayonnaise with herbs or hazelnuts. A cuisine that tastefully accompanies an incredible selection of wines for an evening that begins with an aperitif and ends after dinner with a Caroni rum, with the musical notes slowing down and the light becoming dimmer.
