Located in the historic center of Athens, in the heart of the vivid commercial Ermou pedestrian street, you can combine your experience literally with everything: sightseeing, eating, shopping, and much more. Just to mention a few: Syntagma square and the Parliament with the famous change of the guards, the National Garden with a hidden mosaic in it, Plaka area, Agia Eirinis, and Karytsi squares with coffee shops, restaurants and bars, Hotels with rooftop bars and restaurants, the Athens Cathedral, Monastiraki & Psyrri are are all around our studio in a range of less than 10 minutes' walk.
Our Story
Laura & Marina met at the number 13 of an Athenian alley, beginning a journey of creativity in the mosaics’ universe. Their daily dialogue and dedication lead to experimentation with natural raw and modern materials, creating a plethora of works, aiming to spread the passion for mosaic art. Laura is a conservator of antiquities, with an academic background from Ravenna|Italy and many years of experience in the field and in teaching globally. Marina as an interior designer, with great experience in conceptual development, is expanding her vision in design through the mosaic’s world. They are both very passionate about mosaic art and look forward to introducing you to their colourful world :)
Laura Tapini is a conservator of antiquities, with a Mosaics’ academic background from Ravenna | Italy and many years of experience in the field and in teaching in Europe, Asia, and Africa, where she has worked on a variety of art. She is also the co-founder and Managing Director of Diadrasis an NGO for the protection of Unrevealed Cultural Heritage. Having been trained in classical art and graphic design, as an artist she draws inspiration from knowledge of color, material theory and a great sense of illustration and detail. Marina Kassimi is an interior designer, with great experience in conceptual development, space planning, executing designs and who over the years has researched, coordinated, and managed several projects. Today she is expanding her vision in design through the mosaic’s contemporary world.
